Social Business Interface

Yesterday’s meeting was a follow-up to the St. James’s event with one welcome newcomer: Andrew Wilcox who recorded our meeting with Mind Manager on a tablet PC. The beautiful outcome can be admired here. Andrew said that it’s always good to be in on something new.

Patrick Moore had set the time and the place: the Hive in Brixton, where Mamading Ceesay works as a developer of community software. Brad Meyer joined with his video camera to record some of our conversation. Chai Mason who had designed the Yunus bridge graphic and helped with the audio technology. Lilly Evans joined for a little while wearing the Yunus Host T-shirt picking up a box of Yunus books for our next meeting at the House of Commons. Please ask if you want to be with us on April 22nd to honour Austin Michell MP with an award. As the Chairman of the Forum for Stable Currencies, he has tabled seven of our eight ‘Early Day Motions‘!

We came together as a group called “Social Business Interface” and this morning we got a logo from Andrew:

Social Business Interface

In the spirit of “we the people caring for our planet”, we want to make a big difference with small efforts using net- and web-technologies. Our objectives are:

  • to help charities to become a ‘social business’
  • to enable philanthropists to become ‘social investors’
  • to develop ‘microfunding’ as a way of financing social businesses.

Brad set up our private Google group and we can play with our computers – each in our own favourite spaces, while coming together as and when required next.

  1. Hi original SBIers,

It now remains for each of the attendees to take up a challenge and volunteer to bring specific items that require action now to fruition.

    Offers?

    Lilly
